Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference on the show that Coleman will be Matt Smith's partner after Karen Gillan left. Moffat said that he chose Coleman for the role of companion because she could be the best companion for Smith. In addition, Moffat noted that she spoke faster than Smith. Eva is an entrepreneur, in addition to an actress. Eva has three husbands and an infant from the third.
