Dua Lipa is a English artist and performer born on August 22, 1995 in London United Kingdom. In 2014, after working as an actress and model she signed with Warner Bros Records. She dropped her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album climbed to No. 3 on the U.K. Charts. There were eight songs released such as Be the One I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as sixth in the charts. Lipa's album, which is now been certified platinum in a variety of countries across the world has won the two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) in the categories of British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough act. Dua Lipa was born at the age of 18 in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). Her maternal grandmother is the reason she is of Bosnian descent. Her ancestors are also identified back to the Kosovo town of Peja. Lipa's grandparents were both historians. She is a sister to Rina Lipa and a younger brother named Gjin. Lipa's father, the guitarist and lead singer of Kosovan the band Oda has influenced her in a musical way. His father would play music at home, including songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five years old. When she was nine, Lipa began singing at the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has covered If I Ain't Got You as well as Beautiful from Christina Aguilera and posted it on YouTube. In 2014, Lipa has signed a deal with Warner Bros. Records. New Love was her debut single. New Love was released in August 2015.
