Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. She went to Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received every A grade for her A level examinations. In discussing her Emmerdale character, Coleman expressed regret for having not attended a university. Coleman performed as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she participated in during her time in high school. She won an award for her performance while the production was also highly praised. Coleman was given the part as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while trying out for drama classes in 2005. Coleman received two awards in 2007. In the British Soap Awards she was awarded Best Newcomer. Also, in the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of The Most Popular Newcomer. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman got a nomination in the category of Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. On 21 March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat announced at a press event that Coleman would be the companion of the Doctor alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat decided to choose her for the role as she had the strongest chemistry with Smith. Additionally, she was faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she has been involved in television and film projects. She has however been more well-known on television rather than in movies. In all the roles Eva has played on TV shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that are the most notable. This particular show earned Eva two nominations for a Daytime Emmy. Additionally, she was able to show off her artistic side through music. Eva isn't just an actress, she is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
