Coleman is from Lancashire. She studied at Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A marks in her A Levels. If Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale role she replied she regretted that she did not have an experience like the traditional one at university. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was a member of a theater company named In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. Along with winning a prize for her acting, the production that she performed was well-received. Coleman got the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two prizes. In 2007, the British Soap Awards nominated her for the title of best newcomer. The National Television Awards, she was also nominated as the most popular newcomer. In 2009, the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman in category of Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was also nominated as Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who revealed in a news meeting held on the 21st march 2012, that Coleman will replace Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat selected her for the role due to her ability to work most effectively with Smith and could talk faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the world of film since 1987. The most popular of her work is her TV work than film. Eva has appeared in a number of television parts, however the roles of Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boavistas from CSI Miami have stood out. The former even earned her two nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards and gave her a chance to express her creative side through music. Eva is, along with acting as an actress, is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and business owner. The third man she has married is the father of her daughter.
